Maggie's Dundee

Maggie's Centre, Ninewells Hospital Dundee. Yesterday I had occasion to visit Ninewells Hospital Dundee after being ex-rayed at the Adamson Hospital, Cupar North Fife. Yes. On Sunday night I tripped and fell in my home at Flisk and yes I had broken my clavicular (collar bone) at the shoulder end. Treatment, zero other than taking painkillers and using it. Prognosis, 6 weeks or come back again and we will see. 3 days in, it's a good job I drive an automatic car and it's my left. Anyway, coming out of the orthopaedic department that is part of the flatted factory like Main Hospital this came into site, hard to focus with one hand only but worth the effort.

Maggie's Dundee is located at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee. Anyone affected by cancer is welcome to drop in to the Centre for a cup of tea and a chat with one of our information and support specialists, to browse the library or to access one of the courses designed to help people live with, through and beyond the disease.
Maggie’s Dundee is fulfiling the purpose for which it was intended: helping people with cancer, their carers, family and friends from across Dundee and Tayside learn how to manage the physical and emotional impact of living with cancer.
Maggie's Dundee was designed by Frank Gehry and was opened in September 2003 by Sir Bob Geldof.
