BIOGRAPHY
Molly Bullick was born in Northern Ireland and moved to Scotland to complete her Architectural Diploma at Edinburgh College of Art. Several years bringing up children curtailed her creative career, but a course in Drawing, Painting and Printmaking at Edinburgh College of Art in 1977 started a successful period Printmaking. She exhibited in many countries around the world, was on the council of the Printmakers Workshop, an elected Professional member and Council member of the Society of Scottish Artists and an elected Professional member of the Scottish Society of Women Artists.
Experimenting in metal led to several years making jewellery with solo shows at the Scottish Gallery Edinburgh, the Open Eye Gallery,Edinburgh, Aberdeen Art Gallery etc. She exhibited with Dazzle, Lesley Craze Gallery and Electrum both in London.
Visits to India since 1998 led to the textile world which now absorbs her totally. Workshops with Joan Schulze, Yoshiko Wada and Dorothy Caldwell introduced Art Quilts. Art Quilts are relatively new to the UK art world but times are changing. A recent meeting with the Pojagi master Chunghie Lee has consolidated the wish to work with textile and fibre.Born Belfast 1941.
