Louise Wedderburn Artist North Fife

Louise Wedderburn was born in Zimbabwe and spent her childhood travelling with her parents in Africa and the Middle East. She now lives with her husband and 3 children on Mountquhanie Estate, in Fife where they run a self catering holiday cottage business - St Andrews Country Cottages and a beef cattle farm.

Deriving inspiration from the beautiful surroundings of Mountquhanie, the magical antiques and fabrics within the mansion house and a childhood of colourful travel she creates specialist textiles, knitted scarves, accessories, paintings, vibrant ceramics and greetings cards.

Louise specialised in Knitwear Design at the Scottish College of Textiles, she went on to a career in the knitwear industry in Scotland. Lately, she has worked with Crail Pottery, painting contemporary ceramics and tiles as well as working as a freelance knitwear designer. All the products she makes are designed and made in Scotland giving them a unique appeal and originality.
