Fungi, Welcome to Ann Miller's Speciality Mushrooms. "I started growing edible mushrooms through my interest in gardening and background in mycology. My aim is to make exotic mushroom cultivation available to all. Mushrooms can be grown all year round indoors or enjoyed seasonally from the garden. They provide an exotic blend of flavours and textures that can also have excellent nutritional and health giving properties. Mushroom cultivation is known from the Sung Dynasty in China (960-1127AD). It is now rapidly evolving using new techniques with new species being cultivated from around the world".

Ethical Clothing for the Great Outdoors
Intuitive Organics provide quality organic cotton clothing which has been fairly traded and screen printed using water-based dyes, instead of chemical-based alternatives.

At Intuitive Organics we aim to combine quality and ethics with designs that are aesthetically pleasing. Our background is outdoor sports and that is still our passion. We aim to convey the moment, in the mountains or in the sea, when dropping into that gully on skis, or feeling the wave pick up your surfboard; that moment when you stop thinking consciously about the technical processes and all simply becomes, Intuitive!

We hope that our love of adventure and outdoor sports is evident through our t-shirt range.

The Edinburgh Chiapas Solidarity Group is one of many groups across the world which support the Zapatistas in their struggle. Our main purpose is to raise awareness of the Zapatista struggle and to give practical help wherever possible.

We aim to do this by organising talks, film showings, benefit gigs, street stalls and direct actions as well as publishing articles. We import Zapatista produce such as coffee, clothing and jewellery for sale with the money going directly back to the communities.

Transition Edinburgh South (TES) is friendly grassroot community group, part of the Transition Movement. It uses the transition model to inspire and facilitate the work of communities to lower their carbon footprint and increase their resilience and sustainability to the effects of peak oil and gas and climate change in a creative way. We are here to enable and support ideas about how to make our community more fit for the future. If YOU have an idea... come along and get it started! We are a place for ideas to grow into action.

A wee view of the Big Tent Venue. Much more to follow over the next few days.

Action for change. We can only change ourselves, our view, our sensitivities. Increasingly recognition for change is becoming an imperative, this is but one of many local initiatives now taking place.
