Grain Harvest Ballinbreich North Fife
Here on the banks of The River Tay at Ballinbreich North Fife the grain harvest is still in full swing, late as it is due to earlier persistent rain. Each day the combines are out mid to late afternoon after the cold nights dew has dried out, and taking advantage of the dry high pressure spell. On this farm most of the combining cuts low, shreds the stalks and chaff thus returning useful soil conditioning.
