Winter Sky, Brrrr really brass monkey weather yielding a frost by the morning, Arctic winds from the North West. Probably snow to follow.

The River Tay February 6th 2013

The River Tay at Newburgh February 6th, some sunlight today yielding different qualities of light. Next is a view to the East, bright sunshine over the Carse of Gowrie, Dundee and the Sidlaw Hills.

A few hours later the sky takes on a different hue, the following are in sequence over a period of half an hour.

Getting cold, it was time for tea.

Riverside Newburgh North Fife October 2012

Down by the riverside October 2nd Newburgh North Fife, always worth a visit for the sheer tranquil quality of the flowing River Tay.

Mugdrum Island and reed beds Newburgh, Shower rain clouds drifting over the Carse of Gowrie.

Flotsam on the tidal river Tay waters on the riverside, bits of litter, there seems to be no escaping the stuff where ever one goes, even in the Arctic waters there are millions of microscopic plastic particles per cubic metre of what we think is pure water. Apparently synthetic fibres from clothing via washing machines and getting into the food chain. As custodians of the planet we're not doing a very good job.

Carse of Gowrie from North Fife

Carse of Gowrie from North Fife 9th September, evening of a largely overcast day with a blast of sunshine on the harvested fields East of Errol. Here in North Fife the wheat, barley, oats and oilseed rape harvest is about 50% reaped though we are in for a spell of rainy days delaying matters. Water saturated ground is not helping, spring sown oilseed rape has suffered from cold wet conditions and mixed maturity of seed.
