River Tay ice flows in the winter of 1980/81 taken at Newburgh and Flisk point. The river being tidal meant that ice would flow out seawards and return causing large build ups, as well as being visually spectacular it was the noise that remains impinged in my memory. the shots were taken on a 4x5" bellows camera on which the lens shutter froze up in the subzero temperatures. I hope the present prolonged cold snap dosn't lead to the same conditions.

Nice shots! The quality from the MF film camera really is something else.
