Scottish thistle flower north fife. Actually it's flowers, for goodness sake they are everywhere having years ago let a few grow to completion, a mistake.
To balance the spikiness there are fortunately roses dotted about, some wild and in this instance attractive cultivated varieties. This beautiful iconic red rose and below older variety pink.
